Sake Sommelier Introductory Course

 

This seminar is the first step on your way to Sake Sommelier. Suwine managed to be the only institution across Austria, which is authorized with the license of the Sake Sommelier Association. In this seminar you will learn everything about the history, production, culture, tradition and how to serve Sake. With the end of the seminar you will receive the certificate of Sake Sommelier Association, and thus the right to participate in Sake Certified Sommelier.

Ideal auch für Teilnehmer/innen als Vorbereitung auf den Sake Certified Course die den Sake Intro Course schon absolviert haben ) Sake: erfahre mehr über den großen Unbekannten… Storytelling, Einblicke in die Kultur, den Mythos, die Tradition und Kult. Die hohe Kunst der Herstellung des Elixiers, die wichtigsten Sorten und deren Charakteristiken, Junmai, Ginjo, Daiginjo,….. . Setze korrespondierende Sake, sparkling, kalt, warm im Service, als Zeremonie ein. How to taste, Sake- Degustation von „Premium- Sake“ bis „High end- Sake“, schmecke die Unterschiede und begeistere dich für Neues.

Event - Competition-Training with Sören Polonius

Hello to all “Sommelier Competitors” around the World.

 

We are really pleasured to announce the 3 days Competition-.Training with the best Coach for Sommeliers in the World Sören Polonius.

He was the Coach of 2 winners of the ASI World Sommelier Championships (Andreas Larsson 2010 & Arvid Rosengren 2016) and a few European Champions. He’s also holder of the title of best Swedish Sommelier and Sommelier of the year and an example to lots of Nordic (and far beyond) Sommeliers.

Sörens Assistant will be nobody else than Carole Stein Rohrmoser (Vice President of the Austrian Sommelier Union, Sommelier Coach of the Best Sommelier of Austria and Winner of the Competition Concours Européen des Ambassadeurs du Champagne” 2016)

Day one of Certified Course
On the first day, we cover the basics including:
• The history of Sake 
• Sake production 
• Sake terminology and classifications 
• Sake tasting by category

Day two of Certified Course
On the second day, we consider the wider aspects of the Sake industry including:
• Maturity, temperature and aromatic profiles 
• Understanding Sake labels 
• Sake tasting by type
• How to introduce Sake to customers
• Professional issues: purchasing, storage and Sake vessels
• Umami and its relationship to Sake
 • Food ans Sake Pairing

Day three of Certified Course:
Examination 9 am - 1pm
